Ihana postipäivä! /

Melkein jo luovuin toivosta, etten saakaan yhtäkään pakettia koko SP13:n aikana. Tämä kierroshan virallisesti loppui jo 13.2. Mutta tänään sain KOLME pakettia salaiselta ystävältäni. Luulen että tässä on kaikki, mutta en kyllä vielä tiedä kuka ystäväni oli, koska nimeä ei mistään löytynyt. Mutta kuvat kertokoon kaiken! Olen ihastuksissani!

Today was a great mailday! I received THREE packages from my SP13 friend. I guess I got all my packagas at once, but I still don't know who my pal was because there was no name on them! Pictures tell you all! I'm in love! ;) Thank you so much, my friend! You make my day!

Kevätpäiväntasausyllätyshuivi vihjeet 1-3 sekä ostoksia / Vernal Equinox Shawl Surprise KAL and shopping

Eilen illalla sain tehtyä kolmannen vihjeen valmiiksi Kevätpäiväntasausyllätys huivista. Nyt oli tullut jo neljäs vihjekin julki, joten siitä onkin sitten hyvä jatkaa.

I finnished the third glue from Vernal Equinox Shawl Surprise KAL last night. Now there was the fourth glue out so I know what I'm going to do next.

Viime viikonloppu (perjantaista sunnuntaihin) vietettiin Oulussa. Oltiin siellä rentoutumassa ja viettämässä perheen keskeistä laatuaikaa Oulun edenissä. Meillä oli täydellinen viikonloppu, uitiin aivan hirmu paljo, syötiin hyvin ja nukuttiin. Kuvia ei ole valitettavasti reissusta näyttää, kamera oli kyllä mukana, mutta ei tullut oikein kuvia otettua. Nyt teidän täytyy vain uskoa, että viikonloppu oli täydellinen! ;)
Mukaan reissulle otin Noron sukkalangan ja 2,5mm puikot, mutta eipä sukka paljoa editynyt.

Last weekend we spent in Oulu. We were there at a spa called Oulun Eden. We had a perfect weekend, we swam alot, ate well and slept good. There's not many pictures to show so I quess you just have to trust my word on it.
I took Noro sockyarn with me but I didn't get much done.


Sunnuntaina Siwassa käydessäni oli ihan pakko ostaa noita seiska veikkoja martta väreissä, lukihan niissä taikasanat "Rajoitettu erä". ;) Lisäksi Tarjalta ostin tuon lehden. Siinäkin oli aika paljon kivoja ohjeita.

On Sunday I just had to buy those Seitsemän Veljestä yarns, after all there was the magic words:"Limited edition" on them. I also bought a magazine from Tarja, there was many interresting patterns on it.


Nyt taidan jatkaa vähän aikaa sitä huivin neljättä vihjettä ennen nukkumaan menoa.

SP13 lähenee loppuaan, mutta valitettavasti en ole kuullut kaveristani yhtä sähköpostia enempää. Se harmittaa, mutta asiaa selvitellään. Itse lähetän piakkoin viimmeisen paketin, ja sitten pääsenkin tekemään yhteenvetoa.

SP13 is soon ending but unfortunately I haven't received more than one email from my friend. It is annoying, but it will be investigated. I'm going to send my last package soon and make a summary of my SP13.

Paljon kuvia, vähän tekstiä / Plenty of pictures and less words

Viikonloppu on mennyt juhliessa kuopuksen 4 vuotis synttäreitä. Miten nopeasti aika meneekään, 4 vuotta on mennyt niin nopeasti. Kun neljä vuotta sitten ajeltiin aamulla Kokkolaan sairaalaan käynnistelemään synnytystä oli ihan mahdoton lumipyry. Muistan sen siitä, kun äiti laittoi silloin aamulla tekstiviestin jossa toivotteli onnea matkaan ja kirjoitti vielä, että taitaa tulla oikia Pyry-Petteri kun on niin kova lumipyry. Leevihän on ollut ihan pienestä asti allerginen. 2,5kk ikäisenä todettiin maito allergia ja kiinteiden myötä allergioita tuli muitakin liuta lisää. Nykyisin Leevi on vielä allerginen kananmunalle, rukiille, ohralle sekä kaikille ns. yleisallergisoiville, lisäksi Leevillä on eläin- ja siitepölyallergioita. Luonnetta Leeviltä löytyy, Paljon. Tietää mitä haluaa ja mitä ei ja osoittaa sen myös. Jalkaa poljetaan ja itketään, mutta myös nauraa räkättää sydämen pohjasta.

We celebrated our youngest sons fourth birthday this weekend. For years have gone so fast. Four years ago we drove to Kokkola to see the doctor. My mother remembered that it was snowing all day. Leevi has been allergic to many things since birth. When he was 2,5 months old the first one was milk allergy, and after that there has been many foods and animal allergies too. Leevi has alot of temperament. He knows what he wants and how to show it. He stamps he's foot and sometimes he cries but he also has so fantastic laugh that you can't believe it.

It was independenceday on saturday and we went to the central of Kannus to see the parade. It looked nice in the dark.

Lauantai illalla käytiin myös paistamassa makkaraa Korpelan padolla. Hiilloksesta löytyi ihan sydämen muotoinen kappale.

I participated in the SP13 and this weeks question was about what I'm thankful of. I'm thankful of my family, my children, my husband, my parents and my siblings. My friends and for my health. And I'm also thankful of my home and my job, even if I think it's not the worlds best job but that too.

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

I like natural fibers (wool, silk, alpaca, bamboo, cotton). I don't like mostly artificial yarns or yarns with efects or blingbling.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

My needles and hooks should be in a plastic box, but mostly they are all over the house. I should find a better way to store them.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I have always liked to do crafts. My mother taught me when I was little. Now, I think I'm a intermediate knitter.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

5. What's your favorite scent?

I like soft flower-rich scents.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

I love chocolate but not the dark one.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?

I like to make card with different techniques (3D for example). I would also like to do scrapbook to our boys of their childhood. I do some woodcrafts too. I have never tried spinnig.


8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

I like pop and rock music and I can listen to MP3.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?

I like colours from the nature. Brown, blue, green and red are my favourites. I don't like pastel colours.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I'm married and we have 2 lovely boys. Peetu is 5,5 and Leevi is 4 years old. We also have a small aquarium.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

Yes, all of them.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I like to knit mittens, scarfs, socks and childrens bullovers.

I prefer circular needles. I like to knitting Addi needles but I'm dreaming of Knit Picks Harmony needles.

Yes, I have both of them.

My favourite holidays are Christmas. I observe christmas (and my own birthday) ;)

I collect yarns, knitting books/magazines and other knitting stuff.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

I have few finnish knitting magazing subscriptions. From here I can't buy Interweave Knits or Vogue Knitting. I have never read VK, but seeing IK few times and I like that.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?

I'm always interested of new techniques.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

Yes, I'm a sock knitter. My shoe size is 39. From heel to toe is 24 cm or 9,4 inches.

Yes, I have an ID on Ravelry but I have been too lazy to put anything in there. Maybe someday.
